What Eastlakes gardens need.
Eastlakes takes its name from the lakes and wetlands nearby, once known as the Botany Swamps. The ground is sandy and the area is quite open, so gardens can dry out quickly in the heat.
South of Grafton Street is mostly single-storey houses with lawns and front gardens, while the north is mostly apartments with shared gardens. Both do best with steady, regular care rather than big catch-ups.
Before & after.
Every photo is from a job we’ve done in the Eastern Suburbs. This is what your garden could look like.
A backyard brought back under control.
Long grass, wild edges and weeds coming up through the concrete. We mowed and edged the lawn, cleared the weeds from the paths and took all the green waste away.

Bare dirt to a fresh front lawn.
We prepped and levelled the soil, fed it, then laid new turf. The result is a clean, green front yard with a crisp edge along the path.

I recently had SNS Facility Services take care of my lawn, hedges, bushes and large trees, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The team was professional, reliable, and paid great attention to detail. My lawn looks fantastic, the hedges were trimmed perfectly, and all the garden maintenance was completed to a very high standard. They left everything clean and tidy afterwards. Finding Sarah and Steve has been a true blessing. They are both very hard-working, thorough and have good visual ideas and great understanding of plants. One of our projects we worked on was redesigning a front garden entrance of a home in the eastern suburbs and Steve’s workmanship while installing steel garden edges was exceptional. The front courtyard has now flourished and looks exceptional. I regularly use SNS for all my projects in the eastern suburbs as I find them friendly, efficient and very hard-working.
Steve & Sarah were so lovely. From my first enquiry call right through to finish, they kept me in the loop (great communication). They are friendly, extremely reasonable and very hard working. They turned my poorly neglected front and rear garden beds into a well manicured, aesthetically pleasing work of art. Highly recommend and will be having them back for regular maintenance.

Absolutely Outstanding Gardening & Landscaping Service! I couldn’t be happier with the service provided! From start to finish, the team was incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They really took the time to understand what I wanted and brought my vision to life with impressive attention to detail. Not only was the quality of work exceptional—beautifully manicured lawns, perfectly trimmed hedges, and creative landscaping touches—but the pricing was also very affordable, especially for the level of care and effort they put into everything. If you’re looking for reliable gardeners who genuinely care about their work and their clients, look no further. Highly recommended!

Garden tips for Eastlakes.
Simple things that make a real difference here. Or leave it to us.
Feed the lawn in spring
Sandy soil doesn’t hold nutrients for long. A spring feed helps lawns thicken up before summer.
Water deeply, less often
A longer soak a couple of times a week gets water down to the roots better than a quick daily sprinkle.
Stay on top of it
Fortnightly visits stop lawns and beds getting away from you, especially through the warmer months.
Eastlakes questions.
Anything else? Call Sarah and Steven on 0404 810 546.
Do you mow lawns in Eastlakes?
Yes. We mow and edge lawns right across Eastlakes, from the houses south of Grafton Street to the shared gardens further north.
Why does my Eastlakes lawn go patchy in summer?
Sandy soil drains fast, so lawns dry out and lose nutrients quickly. Mowing a little higher, watering deeply and feeding in spring usually helps.
Can you clean up a rental garden before new tenants?
Yes. We do one-off clean ups for rentals, including weeding, mowing, hedging and taking the green waste away.
How much does garden care cost?
Every garden is different, so we don’t do one-size-fits-all prices. It depends on the size, access and work needed. Call us with your suburb and what you need, and you’ll have a free quote within 24 hours.
